Vijay Eswaran: Leading the Way into Leadership for this New Era

Vijay Eswaran is a man of many talents. Born in Malaysia, he went on to attend the University of British Columbia and has gone on to become one of Asia’s leading entrepreneurs and philanthropists. He has achieved success in business by focusing on innovation, creativity, and leadership. In addition to being the founder and executive chairman of QI Group of Companies, he is also a noted philanthropist.

QI group of companies were founded in 1994 with its headquarters in Hong Kong. Presently it has over 30 offices spread throughout Asia and employs more than 8000 people. The company’s business lines include marketing and distribution (QI Mall), travel and tourism (Destination Asia), luxury business (QI Holidays) and investment advisory services.

The major strengths of QI Group are its highly experienced management team, high level of professionalism in product placement, online marketing strategy, customer service support and logistics amongst others. It has been able to build a loyal customer base in Asia, Europe, America and Africa.

Vijay Eswaran was born in Malaysia but later moved to Sri Lanka where he received his early education at Royal College in Colombo. He went on to do a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of British Columbia before working for Canadian Pacific Railways. His business acumen started to become evident during this time and took on several executive positions at different companies.

After his stint in Canada, he moved to Hong Kong where he worked as an independent marketing consultant and several start ups. He later founded QI group of companies and has gone on to lead the company to successful heights. His business philosophy is reflected by the company’s motto “Success Shared is Success Doubled“.

Vijay Eswaran is a man of many talents and has successfully straddled the divide between business and philanthropy. He established the Vijayaratnam Foundation in honor of his father, which has been providing education to children from underprivileged backgrounds since 2002.
