Hughes Marino CEO Builds an Industry Legacy in San Diego

Breaking Barriers

After getting his foot in the commercial reality door through the Los Angeles area firm, Cushman & Wakefield, successful CEO and businessman Jason Hughes heard San Diego calling and he answered. Once there, his passion to provide high quality services for clients in the tenant/buyer representation field truly took on a life of its own. Fast forward three decades later and the firm he founded, Hughes Marino is an industry juggernaut being the largest of its kind in San Diego, California with offices nationwide.

Family Unity Equals Success

Thanks to the help of his wife Shay, Jason Hughes has successfully negotiated both leases and commercial property sales throughout San Diego, California. This, across a broad spectrum of sectors including, public, private, government. One of the ways Hughes Marino stands out in a competitive industry is to guarantee results for its clients.

By pairing this with a more in depth and extensive client experience, it’s no surprise that after 30 years, Hughes Marino buyer representation firm continues to sit at the top of the pack when it comes to lease structuring, as well as tenant and buyer representation (Loopnet).

Working for Change

In addition to being CEO and figurehead of Hughes Marino, Jason Hughes has also worked hard to make the industry more equitable. He has achieved this by helping introduce the lease accounting Broker Dual Agency Disclosure Bill in 2014. Jason Hughes explains that since the bill went into law the following year, conflicts of interest are much more transparent to tenants.
