Tammy was very shy when she started in the real estate business as a sales associate, which might seem strange for a sales person, but it was something that she had to overcome. A fellow associate told her to just initiate a conversation about anything and get the other person talking. Then ask the questions that will give the answers that are needed to move forward. She learned not to worry about the consequences of what people will think or say because certain questions are necessary for a realtor to ask a customer so that the transaction can be moved forward. She is also very committed to doing the things that have made her successful. It has often been said that successful people will do the things that unsuccessful people don’t like to do. That is true in real estate. So Tammy will get the things done early that are not particularly exciting such as paperwork and handling the emails. Once those are taken care of, she is out the door and showing houses to people.
One of her great motivators is the setting of specific goals, especially with the activities of showing homes. She will break down her goals into action steps, and then gets excited as she completes each step because she has seen time and time again the fruition of her objectives in this manner.
