Guilherme Paulus expansion of CVS


CVC Brasil Operadora e Agencia de Viagens S.A. was founded in 1972, and there are plans to take the company public in 2018. Founded by Guilherme Paulus and Carlos Vicente Cerchiari, who at that time were two young ambitious businessmen ready to grow their business. Mr. Paulus would be named the chairman of the board of directors of CVC Brasil Operadora e Agencia de Viagens S.A in October 2013. Growing the company to become among the top 10 tourism companies in the world and the largest in Brazil. With international offices in Europe and all over Latin America, CVC Brasil Operadora e Agencia de Viagens S.A is also one of the largest employers today. With over 3200 workers and 1000 plus suppliers, Mr. Paulus helps many families by supplying job opportunities and adding positively to the economy.

Guilherme has a stellar business history, working for IBM for 20 years, and constantly pursuing the discovery of more business opportunities. In 2013, Guilherme joined the Forbes list of billionaires and he also serves as a member of the board at GJP FIP. In addition, Mr. Paulus is a member of the Tourism National Board, named by the Republic’s President. It is no wonder Mr. Paulus is considered one of the most important people regarding the economic health in Brazil, having created so many jobs, which ultimately adds to the economy adding in growth. In 2017, Guilherme Paulus was named Entrepreneur of the year by Money Magazine, and due to his job creation, he is credited to improving the living standards in Brazil. A modern businessman, Guilherme Paulus is always looking for ways to grow and continue creating opportunities for the people and himself, with plans to expand he is investing in hotels and resorts in Brazil. Current plans to include building hotels around airports in the next few years. The private equity company Carlyle bought 63% of CVC Brasil Operadora e Agencia de Viagens S.A. for over $400 million.
